The client wanted a logo and business cards created for her online Etsy shop. Her shop sells mid century modern and retro home decor pieces. I decided to pull from this and create a modernized retro logo along with illustrations that reflected pieces she was selling on her shop. I researched elements popular during the mid century and incorporated these into the design.

I decided to pull from this and create a modernized retro logo along with illustrations that reflected pieces she was selling on her shop. I researched elements popular during the mid century and incorporated these into the design. The red star-burst and paisley elements give a nod to the 1960s. Most of her buyers are younger women trying to add character to their homes, so I still wanted the logo and cards to have a modern yet charming feel to them. This is why I chose to add a grain texture and boho leaf patterns to the cards. I also went with a modern font for the “vintage” type in the logo
